About Us (BENFISH) the West Bengal State Fishermens Cooperative Federation Ltd. was established and registered under the West Bengal Cooperative Acts & Rules in the year 1978 as the Apex body of the Fishermen's Cooperatives in the State bearing its registered No.15(Cal)/78, with the objectives of augmenting fish production by introducing scientific method in pisciculture and for upliftment of the socio-economic condition of the poor fishermen by introducing modern crafts & gears. It is a state level fishermen's cooperative being managed by a Board of directors.
